DRC_Pic_2_Smaller“We had no future…
We did succeed…
It was no accident…”

Those are the words printed on the door of a house that belongs to two students. These students want to learn. They want to be future leaders of DRC. They want to change. These students moved away from their families, where food is more readily available. They moved to be closer to the school and to concentrate on their studies. One day the two students got sick with malaria. We had an extra mosquito net and they have not been sick since. Most of the students do not have the money or resources to prevent getting malaria. Here at UCBC, we are praying for a medical clinic to help supply some of the needs for the students and faculty. Despite all the sorrow, hardship, and corruption these people and country have seen, there is so much joy in these students. The students are excited about the opportunity to get educated and to help transform this country!
