Hungary – 1,000 years of Faith.

Hungary has a long and significant history of evangelism. Zealous Hungarians who had gone out to evangelize and plant churches planted many older churches, in other central European countries. Even today, Hungarians have been involved in evangelism in other countries of the world. For Hungary itself, churches are growing in their enthusiasm and support of church planting.

Since 1991, the resident United World Mission team has worked with mission agencies and local churches to envision, train and mentor church planters. The goal is a church within reach of every one of the 10 million Hungarians within Hungary and the nearly 4 million residing outside of Hungary in other Central European countries.

United World Mission is actively working to field additional workers into this country.
