Sweden is a post-Christian culture. Officially, the Lutheran church is the State religion, but it lacks the ability to influence spirituality in the country and is viewed as essentially irrelevant to Swedish culture. There is however an evangelical movement among the youth, particularly rising out of college and university campuses. United World Mission partners with a northern Swedish church planter who is working on a college campus. He is inspiring the next generation to be missional as they come to faith, and many are responding. We are actively looking for passionate people who want to be part of this movement. At the same time United World Mission partners with some of Sweden’s brightest church leaders in southern Sweden to begin new communities of believers along the southwest coast.
