With more than 569 million people, Latin America is a composite of ethnic groups, ancestries, and races making it the most diverse area on the planet. Amerindians, Europeans, and Africans have all influenced Latin American culture. This diversity produces a rich yet complex culture. Roman Catholicism is the predominant religious influence, but the evangelical movement has made significant headway in the last decade.
