United World Mission is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. From this city of nearly 1 million the home staff coordinates the efforts of workers in over 30 countries around the globe. 3 times per year candidates pursuing appointment with UWM meet in Charlotte for interviews and orientation. UWM also owns and operates a training center utilized by multiple mission sending agencies to train workers prior to deployment to the field. This training center is located in Union Mills, North Carolina.
