Aka Church Growth

In Congo, we work with the EECC church association.  The Aka Pygmy ministry in this association is called EECC Baaka.  When we left Impfondo in 2001 there were 13 local churches across 186 miles of rain forest.  There are now 19.  The fact that Aka people are doing all of the work is unique. 

Our facilitative ministry, rather than actually maintaining a physical presence is proving to be a wise strategy.  The EECC Baaka has many problems but since we are only there 2 or 3 times a year they must rely on the Lord and not us.  During our visits we encourage the believers, give advice and usually fund 2 church planting trips.
