A New Creation

Antonio lives alone in Niagara . He was an alcoholic. His family all left him because he was impossible to live with. But, God did not abandon him. Antonio was one of the first converts. He has had a difficult time stopping his drinking, because his friends are all alcoholics, too. He found strength, in God, to say no to their invitation to go drinking.

That same day, Antonio's daughter came to visit. He sees that God is restoring his family to him and this gives him strength. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.ä"(2Cor 5:17)

The following Sunday Rafael and I found all his children there; a son, 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. What a blessing, but it got even better.  I showed part of the God Story and Rafael gave an invitation to accept Christ.  There was no discussion or hesitancy.  The daughters and grandchildren all prayed with us.  His son had accepted Christ some weeks ago.  Antonio told us he is giving thanks to God for this miracle, but it got even better.

The Gospel spread through the whole family that day (and a bit further), because they could see the change it made in their dad.  "They replied, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved  - you and your household.'" (Acts 16:31) Here is part of God's new family. Thank God for his miracle.
