Blessings in Remote
Areas
I
want to report good news about the progress of our survey
of remote areas. The man I'm mentoring, Santosh, completed
3 districts in my absence. He found about 100 churches scattered
in the mountains reporting an average of 100 attendees each.
The leaders are desperate for encouragement and fellowship
as they labor in difficult - even dangerous - areas. This
week, we're presenting the data to a conference of pastors
and challenging them to pray and partner in filling this zone
with healthy, reproducing fellowships. Our role will be to
equip and coach them behind the scenes.
Recently
we also held an intensive Bible training in the. The 70 attendees
(we tried to limit it to 40) enjoyed learning and rehearsing
key Bible stories to share with their Hindu/Buddhist neighbors.
It really blessed me that the host church is led by a 28-year
old woman, Sushma, whose tragic life was so God-transformed
that dozens and dozens of neighbors have come to Jesus and
now fellowship weekly in His name.
