Church Planting Movement

One of the things we encourage our church planters to do is to think outside of their traditional box for effective strategies. Some (I'm still not sure if they were serious) talked about starting a church in a chiva. Chivas are used as party busses. They go around the city with music blaring and people having a good time. I think that went a little too far outside the box for me but it was interesting.

There was one family at our conference who had started a church in their house a few years earlier. Several generations were living in the same house when one of the teenagers was kidnapped by the guerrillas and they started a house of prayer that turned into a church. This family attended our training as they have moved to the city and wanted to know how to start a healthy Biblically based church.  At the end of the training there were over 50 church planters trained and they left with the project to plant 25 new churches in Colombia and 1 in Italy.
