God's Family Keeps on Growing

Have you ever wondered if your efforts (at work, in your family, in your church) are really paying off? I have·and do all the time. Recently I was preaching in a church in Lithuania. My colleague and I have been getting to know this congregation and its leaders over the past year. I talked about having a passion for Jesus. Pastor Linas invited people to turn their lives over to Jesus. Four young people became believers!

There is no doubt God is at work in this congregation. We did a training event in which we dealt with the vision for reaching a whole nation. Pastor Linas explained to me, ãSomething has happened in our church after your seminar ö we are changed!ä I pressed further trying to define this change. He noted that they now have a committed team of 10 people who have stepped forward to grow the church and plant new churches. Pastor Linas himself decided to spend Wednesdays in one nearby village, Thursdays in another. He has also started a new ãwork pointä in a third village!

Only God knows the potential for reaching more souls through these four new believers in Lithuania! Hopefully they will turn around and share with their own neighbors, relatives, and co-workers. Please pray for spiritual growth and boldness for your new brothers and sisters in Christ.
