Graduation Surprises
Just
as in the US , it's graduation time in Zagreb . Last Saturday,
the Institute where Daniel occasionally teaches graduated
its first class of students. Each of the students was prayed
over and blessed individually (one of the benefits of a small
class-size is more individual attention). Each student got
to choose a faculty member to bless them, and Andrej, one
of our favorite students, chose Daniel. Although Andrej speaks
perfect Croatian (and English), he is from Slovenia , and
his true heart language is Slovenian. So, as a surprise to
him, Daniel asked our Slovenian colleagues to translate his
blessing and prayer into Slovene. Andrej's family, who are
not believers, were surprised to hear Daniel's American tongue
forming Slovene words! I think it ended up being a blessing
to more than just Andrej.
