The Macedonian Called

For the last 2 years, Dragi has been planting a new church in Croatia . The city was where the war between Serbia and Croatia began. Serbs rose up in this city but were eventually defeated by the Croatian army. When Serb families fled, they left behind small deserted villages and empty houses throughout the area. Unemployment runs about 80 percent.

Why would a guy leave his country to move to a city that is depressed with unemployment, forgotten by the outside world, and is still troubled by nationalism and ethnic hatred? Why would he passionately and hopefully work with families and especially children in that place, even though the Croatian authorities are pressuring him by not readily granting him a visa?

Why? Because of the love of Jesus. He wants to be Jesus' living water in a dry and weary place.

At present, Dragi has about 50 people coming to his church that meets in a large, rented hall. He is at the point of training new leaders from his congregation so that he can move on, wishing to take up a new church plant back in Macedonia .
