Sacrificial Blessing
I
have hired George, a believer, to manage the construction
of a 1500 sq. ft. temporary building for the school. George
was at the market buying wood for the construction 2 weeks
ago when he noticed something strange. As the helpers were
loading Ralph's truck, he got into conversation with them
and realized that they were not ordinary workers but more
like forced labor.
They
were from U. and had come to K country to find work along
with more than a million others. They were skinny and had
been working for 7 months for only enough food to stay alive
and work. Their passports were with the boss who would not
release them until he the work was finished. Now these "slaves"
were being sold to another boss for continued slave labor.
George found these people the next day after looking in the
village that they mentioned they were in the day before.
These four people made their escape back to their
home country without passports because George had arranged
for it at the border and talked with the bus driver. Total
cost was about $100 which was one third of George's monthly
salary. Talk about sacrificial giving. This is not an uncommon
occurrence in KZ these days. Pray that as believers share
the love of Christ in practical ways many would come to Jesus.
Pray for the laws to work better and for the hearts of these
K people to be broken.
