Village Ministry

I had the chance to share the gospel in a village that only has a hand full of believers.  They invited almost 100 people from their surrounding villages to here these men who came from afar to tell them the truth about the God who created the heavens and the earth.  They literally sat with their eyes wide open as I shared the message of Christ to them.  In an area of such spiritual darkness it was very clear that God's Word was a piercing light to them as they listened to the words I spoke.  Even the little children gave me their undivided attention.  This was frontier missions at its best.  I knew at that very moment standing in that village in the dark of the night that God had sent me there for that very reason.  They do not have an alter call as we know it here in the USA .  We simply give them the truth and let God do the changing in their hearts and minds.  The four men that we instructed in our training sessions will return to this village to do follow up and bible studies so that the new believers here will have a chance to learn and grow in their faith and knowledge of God.

I was also allowed to teach one of the many training sessions with the four main leaders as well as many other men and women from other villages who came to be instructed in church planting techniques.  These people take the instruction from God's Word very seriously.  The level of concentration throughout the sessions was very high with everyone taking extensive notes on all of the topics that we shared with them over the course of three days.  We left them with practical applications and instructed them to take these applications out to their own villages.  It was an incredible experience seeing these future church planters excited about taking all of this new information back to their villages.  We even had the four main leaders turning around and teaching the new men who arrived what they had learned in the previous training sessions.  This method of duplication has tremendous potential to start a church planting movement.  I can't tell you how exciting this is to see.  Please continue to pray for the church leaders in Asia.
