India
India
is one of the oldest cultures on the earth with a recorded
history of over 5000 years. This complex culture requires
developing relationships national believers, church leaders
and denominational visionaries. Working with national leadership
is key to understanding and developing transformational strategies
in a culture with complex issues which involve thousands of
languages, multiple belief systems, a caste system which divides
the culture, many diverse people groups and relentless social
challenges like poverty and social injustice.
Our
team is moving into a new phase from training church planters
in five cities to developing indigenously lead training centers
whose focus will be to coach, mentor, train and encourage
key Indian nationals as they train their own people in church
planting. UWM's goal is to develop 10 of these self-sustaining
training centers across north India who will impact 100 unreached
people groups.
United
World Mission is actively working to field additional personal
into this country as well as developing needed partnerships
to complete field projects.

I
was raised in North-West Indiana , and come from a large family.
I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters and we love to hang around
each other. My wife was born and raised in Germany and raced
and cared for horses with her family.
I
received a BA in Pastoral Studies from Moody Bible Institute
and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Singapore Bible College
. My wife is a licensed RN in both the USA and in Germany
. She has worked in the fields of pediatrics, cardiology,
and labor and delivery.
My
wife has wanted to be a missionary since she was six years
old. At this young age she attended a mission conference for
children and she came away with the thought, "that is
what I want to do". My passion for missions began much
later in life. I worked with international students and eventually
became a mission's pastor where I rubbed shoulders with many
missionaries. Through all these experiences my passion for
missions grew and I decided that the passion was too strong
not to go.
We
have recently moved to our home in Asia and will be doing
language learning. Our goal is to help in training church
planters to train church planters and facilitating church
planting movements in our part of the world.

My husband is Venezuelan and we met there while I was teaching missionary children in 1994. We were married in 1995 and have two beautiful daughters. My husband was a pastor when I met him and from the beginning of our marriage we knew that we would serve the Lord wherever He called us to go. In 2005 God made it clear to us that it was time to go to the missions field, and in very miraculous ways began to show us that inspite of the fact that we are fluent spanish speakers that it was His will for us to go to India. Those miraculous ways include sending actual Indian people to us, dreams and confirmation from friends. We are very excited to begin this new phase of our lives, won't you please partner with us in prayer?
