Nepal
Nepal
is among the poorest and least developed countries in the
world with nearly half of its population living below the
poverty line. Nepal is the world's only Hindu Kingdom. There
is, however, a large bBuddhist population in Nepal as well.
The constitution guarantees some religious freedom for other
faiths and people are free to choose their religion but it
is illegal to convert others.
The
church in Nepal is growing rapidly. Our teams primary focus
is to mobilize & equip the emerging church to reach many
of the under-reached peoples among the Newars, Indians, Tibetans,
Gurungs, Magars, Tamangs, Bhotias, Rais, Limbus and Sherpas.
Our facilitative style of ministry is working well with the
indigenous church.
United
World Mission is actively working to field additional personal
into this country as well as developing needed partnerships
to complete field projects.

It is an exciting
time here in Nepal. After hundreds of years of
closed doors and resistance to the Gospel, God is pouring
out His Spirit and tearing down walls. We are
privileged to be part of what God is doing here - helping
the growing national church catch a vision for Saturation
Church Planting. This involves training programs,
partnering with existing agencies and mentoring Church Planters
and Saturation Church Planter coordinators. Nepal
is fertile ground for church growth; the grace of God and
the devotion of the believers encourage and inspires us.

We are from Nashville
have recently moved to the Himalayas in Nepal. My wife worked
as office administrator and assistant to the senior pastor
at New Song Christian Fellowship in Brentwood, Tennessee while
I oversaw the digital multimedia at Word Entertainment. We
led short-term teams to Nepal for several years before being
appointed by United World Mission in January 2002. Our daughter
is attending YWAM's School of Biblical Studies in Montana
and our son, has a web design job in Nashville.
