France
United
World Mission has several quality contacts in France whose
desire is to reach the entire nation. We are actively seeking
cross-cultural workers, who are willing to become a team,
in order to research and implement a national church planting
strategy which will lead to a nationally lead Evangelical
church in every town, village and neighborhood of France.

We along with our daughter, Maren (2 yrs old) and Baby #2 are heading to the City of Lights--Paris, France! Working in partnership with France Mission, we'll be helping a young French church planter reach out to postmoderns and the emerging generation in the French capitol. Leveraging art, music, creativity, coffee, discussion and relationship, we hope to see an indigenous church planting movement started.
I, Chris, once told God, "I will serve you anywhere in the world--except France!" God turned this stubborn declaration around when I met Kirsten, an ardent Francophile. Kirsten majored in French in college, lived in Paris to study and worked as a French speaker for Delta Airlines. Her love for France was the spark of her calling to missions and the nudge that I needed to see that France was my destiny as well. We began to pray about France, missions, missionary agencies and what God desires to do among the French people. This brought us to United World Mission and began the process of opening France as new field for UWM. We are thrilled to serve as team leaders for the new French team and to see what God has in store for La Belle France!

I'm
from Long Beach, CA and became a Christian when I was nine
years old. In 1987, I went on a mission trip to France with
Teen Missions International. Later I went to Argentina
where I was part of an evangelistic crusade and I've also
been to Austria.
During
a particular class at church, I realized that for a long time
I had merely been a church attender rather than fully surrendering
my life to Christ. Later on, I felt Him calling me to be involved
in missions. I was still a little afraid to whole-heartedly
follow God, so I figured that wasn't necessarily a full-time
calling, though it might be later down the road. So I started
working with the missions committee at church and helping
to support two missionaries financially, as well as taking
the trip to Austria.
Eventually,
I discovered that God meant for me to be a full-time
missionary and I decided to pursue that call. I have recently
been accepted by United World Mission and will be going to
France. My goal and vision it to facilitate church planting
among the emerging generation (17-35 year-olds) and other
post-moderns.
