The Mills began our United World Mission focus in England years ago with a vision to bring renewal to the struggling church and mobilize the church in evangelism. This is still our overriding focus. Today an important part of laying a solid foundation is prayer. Gary and Penny lead the Watchman for Havering network in strategic prayer for our borough of London and the nation. We're desperate to see increased receptivity to the Good News. We work to support church planting by mentoring, supporting leadership teams and by establishing and sustaining vision. A lot of energy is put into coordinating innovative outreach events and mission teams to build up the bride of Christ.
United World Mission is actively working to field additional personal into this country as well as developing needed partnerships to complete field projects.

Kids: Matthew, Sandy, Brett and Nathan
We came to the UK to make a difference in the urban European culture in 1985. The needs were tremendous; Christians desperately needed to be discipled -churches were struggling and closing. Only around 2 percent are evangelical Christians. After replanting a church on a housing estate, Gary & Penny's focus is now wider for London and the southeast of England. Prayer has been a passion for him; God has opened up ministry through leading the Watchman Prayer and our sector of the M25 Prayer-Net. Both mobilize the body of Christ in strategic prayer for our neighbors, local area and London.
Gary serves a network
of pastors & church leaders who work together for creative
evangelistic efforts seeking to move from maintenance to effectiveness
in outreach. He currently facilitates an exciting, new church
plant in Colchester, and is working to bring training and
support to new church plants.
Jane
I was born into a large family in
Ohio and became a Christian while attending a Bill Gothard
Seminar in 1979. I was a reading specialist for 18 years and
an interior designer for 11 years, before being called to
the mission field. My first missionary assignment was in Austria
where I taught missionary kids at Vienna Christian School
for two years.
After this assignment, I began to sense that God had a different
vision for my life. I am now working as an evangelist in Fulham,
London, alongside a national church whose desire is to reach
the international Fulham community for Christ. Our strategy
is to develop trust relationships within the community enabling
us to share the Gospel and bring people into the Kingdom.
From there we want to help people take the next steps in becoming
faithful followers of Christ by discipling, mentoring, and
training them to go out and share and disciple others.
One thing I have learned is that God always has a plan for
people. He is never through with a person until He is ready
to call them home. I am a recent breast cancer survivor and
have seen God do amazing things as He has opened this new
door of ministry for me. Please pray that we at Twynholm Baptist
Church will be authentic, genuine Christians who love God,
and who let this love flow to others.. Pray that our church
will appeal to the lost and to those who want to serve Christ.
Finally, pray that we will seek excellence in our service
to Christ.

Personal Website
Chrissy was born and raised in Miami Florida. At the age of seventeen she felt the calling to be a missionary while in the Bahamas with her church youth choir. She later attended Florida State University and became actively involved in on-campus ministries. Each summer she was part of a college group that would travel to Germany and use their singing as a ministry tool to reach the students in local public schools.
In 2003, Chrissy was given the opportunity to visit England. It was during this visit that she fell in love with the people of England. In early 2006, after much prayer she decided to start the application process to do overseas missions. In July 2006, she was appointed as a Missionary to England with United World Mission through their Expedition237 program; which is a two year program. UWM has a church planting vision. They seek to see a church in every town, village and neighborhood.
In October 2006, she was given an opportunity to visit England again. She met with DNA, which is a church-planting movement in the town of Colchester. DNA is using many types of creative outreaches such as Alpha, fine arts, sports, music, park ministry, community prayer and café ministry. It is Chrissy’s desire to partner with DNA in finding creative ways to reach out to the younger generation. She hopes to use her gifts of music, dance and communications in England.
